Hip Hop is my first love. I can remember being little listening to bone thugs, pac, and biggie. Running around yelling out WESTSIDE! Because I liked tupac more than biggie (R.I.P). But ... that era of real hip hop is nomore. Today it's completely out of control. Every rapper talks about the same thing, Everybody wants to be a rapper. Songs are repetitive , No real lyrics, and no real meaning behind what they say. Sadly to say kids and even grown people of this generation take to it and make most of these ''rappers'' are what they are when they shouldn't be on that pedestal at all. People say if so and so was alive (i.e. Biggie) Hip Hop would be different. Honestly , I disagree because I think he would've been in the backseat now watching the game be mocked like the rest of us are doing. The point i'm making is, '' The game don't change just the n*ggas in it'', Meaning the game will always be the same but those NEW n*ggas will alter the game in some way where you have to get with it or take a backseat and it's just too many of these new cats feel me? But see me being a hip hop head like I really am I don't see Hip Hop in a dying state, It's stronger than ever, UNDERGROUND but it's slowly moving back above ground because of artists like wale, wiz khalifa, etc. And I give big major props to all of these artists out here that are sticking to what THEY know being who THEY are. Giving us a different sound, making us look foward to something more unique and songs with substance and thats what hip hop is about. Yes, you are suppose to be creative and tell stories with your rhymes but ''superman dat hoe'' ain't really much of a story that wants to be heard. It was really out of control when snap music and what not took over for a bit but now Hip Hop is slowly getting back into control and REAL artists are regulating how things flow and its a great sight to see. All i'm saying is sometimes when you're on twitter or whatever social networking site and you see someone post a song to you take a quick listen you never know how talented that individual may be. Lets get back to supporting real music, real values, and lyrics that inspire and mean something when you hear them.
